After Rehab Alumni Program
For many people, leaving treatment is one of the most difficult parts of recovery. It can be difficult returning to a life that has been turned upside down by their active addiction. That is why we at Serenity Care Centers have developed an after rehab alumni program. It allows us to provide continued support for our clients long after they have left treatment, to help ease process of returning to society. We believe that this is one of the most important services we offer to our clients, aiming to give them the best chance at a long-term recovery and a healthy, sober life.
How does the after rehab alumni program work?
After you or your loved one has left treatment, we will continue to follow up with them periodically throughout their recovery. We call each client to ensure that their transition to home life has begun smoothly. From that point on, we strive to contact them at three and six months, then yearly following the six month period.
We also provide support in the form of newsletters and a blog where our clients can learn about other individual recovery stories, tips for having fun while staying sober, and access other inspirational and informative content. We also strive to maintain a thriving community on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We do this in hopes that it will allow our clients to not only continue to connect with us as often as they wish, but with other alumni as well. Through these platforms, clients may also choose to participate in our book club.
For those clients who have traveled to our facility from outside the area, we provide assistance in finding local support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. If they prefer individual therapy, we can also connect them with local counselors or therapists in their area. Our clients’ continued health is our top priority, and this gives them a way to remain connected to all of the lessons they learned in treatment long after they’ve left our facility.
In the unfortunate even that a relapse does occur, you or your loved one will not be met with judgment. Our alumni will simply help them get re-enrolled in treatment as soon as possible. This allows them to begin the path back to recovery far sooner and more easily than what typically occurs in programs that do not offer alumni support. This is simply part of the ongoing continuum of care that we are proud to provide all of our clients.
